A machine that has never been descaled makes weaker, slower coffee long before it breaks down — you get used to it gradually and blame the beans.
The line that matters here is the last one: no residue and no aftertaste once rinsed. A descaler that fixes the machine and ruins the next three cups is not a fix.
What's in it
- 375 g
- For the internal components of coffee machines
- Removes limescale and coffee deposits
- Leaves no residue after rinsing
- Does not alter the taste of the coffee

How to use it
Fill the tank halfway with water and add the whole bottle. Switch the machine on and run about 100 ml — two or three cups — through the steam wand. Switch off, wait 15–20 minutes, then let the rest run out a little at a time through both the steam wand and the coffee spout until the tank is empty. Rinse the tank, fill it with clean water and run it all through the same way. Brew a couple of test coffees and pour them away. If your machine has a descaling programme, follow its maker's instructions.
Worth knowing before you buy
- For heavy scale, run a second cycle. For upkeep, a full cycle every 30–40 days.
- Safe for the machine's plastic parts, seals and pipes.
- Causes serious eye irritation — protect eyes and face; if irritation persists, see a doctor.
