Half the dose is not a slogan here, it is the instruction — the concentration is built for it, and using a normal cap’s worth just wastes the bottle.

There are three of these, and they are genuinely different formulas: white, colour and black. The black one is the one people are surprised by.

How to use it

Soft or moderately hard water: 20 ml for 4–5 kg of laundry (a cap, not quite full), 30 ml for 6–8 kg (a cap and a half), 40 ml above 8 kg (two caps). Very hard water: 25 ml, 40 ml and 50 ml for the same loads. Pre-treat stubborn stains such as ink or waterproof make-up before washing.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Not for wool, silk or delicate fabrics.
  • Wash new clothes separately.
  • DANGER. Causes serious eye irritation and skin irritation. Wear gloves and eye protection.
  • If it gets in the eyes: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if easy to do, keep rinsing, and call a poison centre or doctor immediately.
  • Scent: geranium, lemon and bergamot; tuberose, jasmine and violet; vanilla, tonka bean and sandalwood.
